Woman Charged with Breach of Peace after Punching Man in the Head

Stacey Fryd, 27, of 370 Rocky Rapids Rd in Stamford, was arrested by Greenwich Police on May 19 following an incident on in the parking lot of Riverside Commons Shopping Center.

Greenwich Police responded to the Shopping Center at about 4:30 pm on a report of an altercation in the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers met with a man and a woman. The man related that the woman had punched him in the back of the head while he leaned into the car to get something during an argument and that he tried to get away from her.

The woman initially denied punching him, but an independent witness verified the man’s account.

Both the man and woman refused medical assistance on scene. Once the man realized that the woman would be arrested, he refused to answer questions and then insisted she hadn’t punched him after all.

Ms. Fryd was arrested and charged with Breach of Peace and processed at Greenwich Police headquarters. She was released on a bond of $260 and has a court date in Stamford Superior Court set for May 20.
