Warrant for Port Chester Man Catches Up with Man after Yelling in Byram Apartment

John P Navarra, 40, of 54 Leonard St in Port Chester was arrested by Greenwich Police on April 26 for an incident stemming back to Jan 28, 2017 on Josephine Evaristo Ave in Chickahominy.

On April 26 at about 5:00am Greenwich police responded to Byram on a report of a female screaming for help.

After locating and speaking with the woman, police determined that a verbal altercation had become physical.

During investigation on scene it was learned that Mr. Navarra had an active warrant from the Greenwich Police Dept.

Evidence suggested that Mr. Navarra, whose presence within the apartment violated a protective order, had struck the woman in the face with his hands, and broken fan within the apartment. Additional evidence indicated he had stolen a small amount of jewelry from the female.

He was charged with Larceny 6 and Disorderly Conduct, Violation of protective order and Assault 3.

His bond for Violating a Protective order was set for $10,000. Also bond for additional charges was set at $75,000, which he was unable to post. He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on April 27, 2017.
