On Wednesday, July 19 at about 9:20pm, Greenwich Police conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of 1212 East Putnam Avenue after a driver, later identified as Hector Vladimir Cruz, 19, of 31 William Street in Stamford failed to stop for a red light.
On scene investigation was conducted and a subsequent search of Mr. Cruz’s vehicle yielded numerous baggies of green leafy substance consistent with that of raw marijuana.
It was later weighed and found to be 5.3 ounces.
Mr. Cruz was charged with Illegal Possession of Marijuana Over 4 Oz and Possession with Intent to Sell. He was able to post his $500 bond and was assigned a court date on July 26, 2017.
