Teen Arrested for Allegedly Sending Lewd Text Messages and Unwanted Touching

Malik Ashley, 21, of 22 Cottontail Road in Norwalk, was arrested by Greenwich Police on Dec 19 and charged with Breach of Peace 2nd degree and Risk of Injury to  Minor for incidents stemming back to Nov. 14, 2016 on Hillside Road.

According to Greenwich Police, an arrest warrant was issued for Mr. Ashley after an investigation conducted by the Special Victims Section stemming from reports that Ashley was engaging in inappropriate contact with younger high school aged juveniles  in the form of lewd text messages and unwanted touching.

On Dec 19, Greenwich Police responded to Chipotle on Greenwich Avenue after learning that was where Mr. Ashley was employed.

Officers located Mr. Ashley at Chipotle where he was working and took him into custody. He was also found to have a small amount of marijuana in the form of two rolled cigarettes in his possession and was issued an infraction for the marijuana.

According to Greenwich Police Lt. Kraig Gray, as soon as the warrant for Mr. Ashley’s arrest came in, the detectives actively tracked him down to his workplace at Chipotle.

His bond was set at $50,000, which he was unable to post. He remained in Greenwich Police Custody and has a court date on Dec 27, 2016 in Stamford Superior Court.
