Stopped for Expired Registration, Driver Busted for 20+ Grams of Marijuana

Paul James, 21, of 99 Ursula Place in Stamford was arrested by Greenwich Police on Sunday, Jan 22 after his car was stopped on Arch Street for having an expired registration. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana. Mr. James was found to be driving without a license.

Police located 20.4 grams of marijuana in the vehicle.

Mr. James was charged with Failure to Renew Registration, Driving without a License 1st Offense, and Illegal Possession of Marijuana. His bond was set at $80 and he was assigned a court date in Stamford Superior Court on Jan 30, 2017.
