Stamford Woman Busted for Shoplifting Blouses at Saks on Greenwich Ave

On Tuesday July 7 Greenwich Police were detailed to Saks Fifth Avenue on 205 Greenwich Avenue on the report of a shoplifter being detained.

Officers were advised by Saks Fifth Avenue Asset Protection personnel that a woman subject identified as Diane Louise Browne, 52, of 163 Stamford Ave in Stamford had exited the store without paying for two articles of clothing.

The articles of clothing were described as an ivory Theory blouse valued at $225, and a blue Joie blouse valued at $188. Ms Browne was escorted back into the store and the blouses were located within her handbag.

Browne was arrested and charged with Larceny in the 6th degree. She has a court date at Stamford Superior Court on July 15. She was able to post a cash bond and was released from custody.
