Rooftop Trespasser Arrested by Greenwich Police

At about 11:00pm on Monday night Greenwich Police responded to Rustic View Rd on a report of a man, Raymond Rodriguez, 18, of 905 Tinton Ave in the Bronx, who was trespassing on the property. At the residence officers spoke with the complainant who said Rodriguez was knocking on the window at the back of the house.

Officers discovered Rodriguez had gained access to the roof by using a shed located against the rear of the house. According to the police report, the suspect was ordered off of the room and climbed back down using the shed. Once down from the roof, he was brought to the ground and handcuffed without incident.

The man was searched by police who located a small glass jar containing a plant like material that later tested positive for marijuana, as well as rolling papers, grinder and two blunts, all of which tested positive for marijuana. Charged with Criminal Trespass, Disorderly Conduct, Possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Marijuana less than 1/2 oz, Rodriguez was processed in lieu of $1,000 bond. His court date was Dec. 9, 2014.
