Stamford Police are seeking help from the public in a search for Paulino Mendoza, 24, of Willowbrook Ave in the Cove area of Stamford. Mendoza has been missing since Christmas Ave after friends dropped him off after a night of drinking. According to police Mendoza was last seen when he was dropped off at 11 Avery St. at Cove Rd. by USA Taxi. He wasn’t reported missing until Sunday evening, after a check of his phone revealed no incoming or outgoing calls since Wednesday, around 4:00pm.
Police have searched the area around Cove Island Park on Tuesday with assistance of a bloodhound and a helicopter. Police also contacted local hospitals, state police, and New York Police, to no avail.
