Brian Timothy Dougherty, 46, of 25 Oak Ridge Street in Greenwich was arrested by Greenwich Police on New Year’s Day.
He was charged with Strangulation 2, Risk of Injury to a Minor, Disorderly Conduct, and Assault 3.
On Jan 1, around 10:00pm, Greenwich Police responded to Prospect Street on a report of a physical altercation between a man and a woman.
After interviewing all parties involved, it was determined that the offender, Brian Dougherty had engaged in a physical altercation with the victim, resulting in the victim being placed into a head lock hold and sustaining minor injuries to her face.
Additionally, juvenile children were in the home while the fight took place.
Dougherty’s bond was set at $10,000, which he was able to post and he was assigned a court date at Stamford Superior Court on Jan 3, 2017.
