Multiple Charges for Juvenile in Fake Home Invasion

police stationA 17-year-old juvenile was arrested after an incident on Davis Ave that stems back to Nov. 17, 2014.

On that date, Greenwich Police responded to a report of a possible home invasion. The reporting party, a juvenile male, related that two masked men dressed in black, had entered the residence and assaulted him while he was home alone. After the assault, the two men stole approximately $11,500 worth of jewelry belonging to the juvenile’s mother’s boyfriend.

Investigation revealed that the juvenile had conspired with a friend to stage the home invasion, assault and larceny.

As a result,the juvenile was issued a juvenile summons for Conspiracy to Commit/Interfering with an Officer, Interfering with an Officer, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary 3rd degree, Burglary 3rd degree and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 2nd degree, Conspiracy to Commit Damage of Landlord’s Property, Criminal Damage to Landlord’s Property, Conspiracy to Commit Falsely Reporting an Incident, and Felsely Reporting an Incident.

The boy is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court Juvenile Matters on Dec. 16, 2014 and the case is currently under investigation with regard to the other adult participant.
