Multiple Charges for Driver with Plates from Another Car

Canzino Lucio Torres, 39, of 115 William Street in Stamford was arrested on the morning of Halloween after Greenwich Police conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Arch Street on an older model red Toyota Corolla with no front license plate.

According to Greenwich Police, the car’s registration plates had been cancelled and were previously on a black Chrysler.

The investigation further revealed that Mr. Torres possessed neither a driver’s license nor insurance for the vehicle. He was unable to to be positively identified on scene and was placed under arrest for:

Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Misuse of Plates, Failure to Display Plate/Sticker, No Insurance, and Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License 1st offense.

Mr. Torres was able to post his court set bond of $500 and has a court date on Nov 15, 016 in Stamford Superior Court.
