Man Found Sleeping on Bench at Greenwich Library Faces Multiple Charges

Renee D Monges-Perez, of 32, Sherwood Place in Greenwich was arrested on Nov 23 for Failure to Appear in court for charges relating to an incident on Hamilton Ave on Sept 14, 2012.

On Nov 23, at about 8:30pm, Greenwich Police were alerted to a man sleeping on a bench at Greenwich Library. The man was placed under arrest. A search of his person revealed suspected marijuana and an open package of Zig-Zag wrappers.

The man, identified by his Connecticut driver’s license as Renee D Monges-Perez, was was charged with Use or Possession with Intent  to Use Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Less than 1/2 oz of Marijuana.

His bond was set at $50. Also, he was found to have an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear 2nd degree in court back on June 8, 2015. His bond for Failure to appear was set at $250.

He was assigned a court date in Stamford Superior Court on Dec 1, 2016. He was able to post his bond and was released from custody.
