Man Breaks into House, Displays Knife in Front of Children, Rips up Victim’s Underwear

Adriano B Pinheiro, 32, of 211 Chestnut Street in Port Chester was arrested just after midnight on July 18.

On that date, Greenwich Police spoke with a resident about an incident that had just occurred.

According to a police report, the victim explained that she had received a phone call from the offender, Mr. Pinheiro, who claimed to have a knife and threatened to kill her.

Also, according to police Mr. Pinheiro allegedly continuously called the victim and yell at her on the phone.

Further, according to the report, Pinheiro had also used a screwdriver to break into the victim’s home, gaining access to the house and displaying a knife in front of four children while on the phone threatening the victim. Mr. Pinheiro also allegedly ripped up a pair of the victim’s underwear.

Mr. Pinheiro was located and placed under arrest for Threatening, Risk of Injury to a Minor, Disorderly Conduct, two counts of Criminal Mischief 4th degree, and Harassment 2nd degree.

He was released on $5,000 bond and assigned a court date of July 18 in Stamford Superior Court.
