Greenwich Police said that a Round Hill Road resident reported their online financial account had recently been breached and $100,000 was illegally transferred from it.
The identity theft case was reported to police on April 6.
“The reporting party appears to be the victim of identity theft,” said Lt Slusarz, adding that police are continuing to investigate. “Someone accessed an online account and transferred $100,000 out of it.”
