In Back Country, Assault with Box Cutter Results in Arrest

On June 8 at about 2:15pm, Greenwich Police responded to 10 Barnstable Lane on a report of a past assault.

According to Greenwich Police, the victim said his co-worker, Wilder Alfredo Ramos, 30, of 44 Four Point Street in Norwalk, had slashed him with a box cutter.

The victim and Mr. Ramos were co painting subcontractors.

The victim said he received lacerations to his left ring finger and pinky requiring eight stitches.

In addition to witness statements confirming the victim’s claims, Greenwich Police found blood on the garage floor where the incident took place, leading to probable cause to arrest Mr. Ramos.

Mr. Ramos was charged with Assault 1 and Threatening 2.

He was assigned a court date in Stamford Superior Court on June 23, 2017.

His bond was set at $125,000, which he was unable to post at the time of his arrest.
