Greenwich Police Seek Tips after Weekend Stabbing

police stationOver the weekend the Greenwich Police Department was notified of a male patient who had appeared at the Greenwich Hospital Emergency Room who had received life threatening stab wounds. The injured subject underwent surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.

No calls were received at the police department at the time of the incident nor did the injured subject contact the police or ambulance. The injured subject was transported to hospital by his acquaintances. Officers of the Greenwich Police Department were assigned to investigate and the following information is being released:

The subject who received the wounds is a 21 year old male who resides in Norwalk. The injured subject provided the investigating officers with limited information. The injured subject could not provide investigators with any actionable information as to why he had been targeted or by whom. The only information that could be corroborated was that he was in an altercation in Armstrong Court Saturday morning October 25, 2014 shortly before 2 AM. Investigators are continuing to investigate and area patrols have been increased.
