Greenwich Police arrested Christopher Noel Sandys, 46, of 39 LeGrande Ave in Greenwich following an undercover investigation into a “peer to peer” child pornography image and video trading conducted by the CT State Police.
Mr. Sandys is a member of Greenwich’s RTM for District 1. According to the voter registration lookup on the Town of Greenwich website, Mr. Sandys is a registered Republican. According to his Twitter page, @USAFA_93, he is a “former rocket ship builder – Wealth Manager at Belpointe Asset Management, Greenwich, CT.”
A search warrant was executed by the Greenwich Police Special Victims Section and the Southwest Technical Investigations Unit (TIU).
The TIU consists of police officers from the Weston, Stamford, Darien, New Canaan, Easton and Greenwich Police departments.
During the course of the search, the TIU discovered over 700 images of child porn on a desktop computer belonging to Mr. Sandys.
He was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Pornography 1st degree.
His bond was set at $300,000. He has a court appearance date of Jan 20, 2017 in Stamford Superior Court.
