Greenwich Police Distracted Driving Enforcement Turns Up Driver with Suspended License

Troy W Helmbolt, 45, of 7 Fourth Street in Stamford was arrested by Greenwich Police on Sunday after being stopped during distracted driving enforcement.

At about 10:34am, police observed Mr. Helmbolt using a cell phone while driving on West Putnam Ave.

After running his license, police learned Mr. Helmbolt’s license had been suspended from a previous DUI.

Mr. Helmbolt was charged with Driving with a Suspended License, and Driving While Using a Hand Held Device. His bond was set at $250 and he was assigned a court date on May 1, 2017 in Stamford Superior Court.
