Greenwich Police Arrest Three Suspects in Thursday’s Incident at Saks Fifth Avenue

Three people were arrested on Sept 21, 2017 was arrested and faces multiple charges following an incident at Saks at 205 Greenwich Avenue.

Around 3:30pm on Thursday, a Greenwich Police officer responded to Saks where individuals had grabbed merchandise. The officer wrestled three suspected thieves to the ground.

On Monday Greenwich Police released reports on the arrests of Hassan J Carter, 21, of 408 W 129th Street in New York City; Jennifer Yvelese Nervil, 22, of 487 Carlton Ave in Brooklyn, NY; and Quandel Baldwin, 25, of 408 W 129th Street in New York City.

All three suspects were charged with Criminal Mischief 1, Larceny 1, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 1, Robbery 2, Interfering with an Officer, Assault on a Peace officer, and Assault 3.

According to Greenwich police a female subject later identified as Ms. Nervil, was observed by a Greenwich Police officer and several employees taking hand bags and running toward the rear door of Saks Fifth Avenue.

According to police, while fleeing from the store, the three suspects assaulted the Greenwich Police officer, pushed against the rear door, and caused the glass to break. They continued to push and kick the officer to prevent being apprehended.

The trio fled the store and was apprehended by police in the rear parking lot of 52 Mason St.

Each was held on $150,000 bond.
