Greenwich Police Arrest Duo in Chickahominy on Multiple Drug Charges

The Greenwich Police Department Narcotics Section conducted an investigation into suspected drug transaction by a local Greenwich resident, Ashley Cabrera, 30.

The investigation led to the surveillance of the suspect on Alexander Street where a second suspect from Thornwood New York, Nimrod Romero, was also implicated.

On March 16, both suspects were arrested for numerous drug violations after being stopped on Alexander Street. Cabrera was in possession of a combination of heroin and Schedule II and III prescriptions pills, which were packaged for sale.

Romero was found to be in possession of 60 bags of heroin. Romero was also in possession of two small bags of cocaine.

Ashley N. Cabrero of 54 Alexander St , Apt # 2, in Greenwich was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Narcotics (2 counts), Possession of Narcotics with Intent To Sell, Possession of Narcotics Within 1,500 of a School, Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell Within 1500′ of a School, and Possession of Controlled Substance. Cabrera was released on a written promise to appear. She was assigned a court date of March 25, 2015 in at Stamford Superior Court.

Nimrod Romero, 37 Columbia St, Apt # 3, Thornwood, NY, was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Narcotics with Intent To Sell, Possession of Narcotics Within 1500′ of a School, Possession of Narcotics With Intent to Sell Within 1,500 ft of a School, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Sell Under 1 Ounce, Possession of Cocaine Within 1,500 ft of a School, and Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Sell Within 1,500 of a School.

Romero was not able to post his $100,000 bond and was placed in the Greenwich Police cell block. He is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on March 23, 2015.
