Greenwich Man “Tired of Sign Pollution” Charged with Criminal Mischief for Throwing Away Signs on West Putnam Ave

On Sept 14 Greenwich Police received a report of a person destroying signs on West Putnam Avenue. When they arrived they observed a suspect, later identified as Gary P Calabro, 74 of 51 Almira Drive in Greenwich folding up advertising signs and throwing them in a dumpster on the property of Putnam Green.

Mr. Calabro relayed to police that he was “tired of ‘sign pollution’ and was throwing out the signs.”

Police say Mr. Calabro did not have permission to throw away the signs.

Calabro was charged with Criminal Mischief 3 and released on $100 bond. He has a court date on Sept 29,2017 in Stamford Superior Court.
