Greenwich Fugitive Extradited from North Carolina

Greenwich Police investigators extradited Bryan S. Francois, 21, of 45 Sinawoy in Cos Cob from Columbus County Detention Center in Whiteville, North Carolina to Connecticut on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015. The early morning extradition reflected two separate Greenwich Police arrest warrants for Francois.

Greenwich investigators met with Francois and advised him he was being placed under arrest. Police arrived in Greenwich with Francois without incident several hours later.

In addition to being charged with Escape from Custody, a Felony, Francois faces multiple drug charges from just after midnight on Dec. 31, 2014.

Francois’ charges include Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell, Possession of a Controlled Substance within 1500′ of a School, one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Sell within 1500′ of a School, Poss of Marijuana Under 4 ozs, Poss of Marijuana with Intent to Sell, Poss of Marijuana within 1500′ of a School, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell within 1500′ of a School, Operating a Drug Factory, and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Francois was also charged with Burglary 3rd degree and Larceny 3rd degree, stemming back to an incident on Orchard Street on Jan. 7.

Francois was unable to post a court set bond of $250,000 and was placed into a cell block at the Greenwich Police Station. He was assigned a court date at Stamford Superior Court of Jan. 28, 2015.
