According to a release from Deputy Chief Brian Koczak, E1 and E2 were dispatched to the residence following a report of an activated fire alarm called in by a private alarm company.

The alarm was upgraded when E2 arrived to find smoke coming from the front door of the home. Crews from E2 and E1 located the fire in a utility room and quickly extinguished it.A total of 18 personnel arrived on scene.

The fire was contained to the room of origin in the utility room. A burst water pipe as a result of the heat from the fire helped to keep the flames at bay until the Greenwich Fire Department arrived.
