Family Fight Results in Disorderly Conduct and Assault Charges

New Greenwich Police CarsOn Dec. 21 multiple Greenwich police units responded to an address in the area of Belle Haven on a reported dispute between adult family members. Upon arrival, police learned two people involve in the dispute had fled.

According to Greenwich Police, a physical fight between sisters had taken place and one of the sisters sustained a minor injury requiring medical treatment. The husband of one of the involved persons attempted to intervene and became involved in the fight.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of one of the sisters, 50, for Disorderly Conduct and Assault in the 3rd degree, and the brother-in-law, 54, who was charged with Disorderly Conduct. Both were assigned court dates at Stamford Superior Court on Dec. 22, 2014 and released on a promise to appear.
