Failing to Signal Turns Leads to Police Stop, DUI

Kasey E Hernandez, 22, of 14 Ritch Ave, Apt A, was arrested for DUI and five counts of Failing to Signal Turns on Nov. 26 after Greenwich Police detectives and patrol officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on a gray Honda Civic at Armstrong Court.

According to Greenwich Police, the vehicle had been observed making five consecutive turns without signaling along Hamilton Ave.

The operator of the Honda, Hernandez, was observed to display glassy, red eyes and his speech was slow and lethargic, according to Greenwich Police. The odor of burned marijuana was detected emanating from the car. Hernandez admitted to smoking marijuana prior to operating his vehicle and failed to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests to standard.

Hernandez posted bond of $500 and was released. He has a court appearance date of Dec. 10, 2014 in Stamford Superior Court.
