Empty Beer Cans Found in Car Following Early Morning DUI Arrest on Prospect St.

On Sunday, Oct. 19 at 7:25am, Greenwich Police arrested Julio Cesar Cruz, 31, of 995 Cove Rd in Stamford and charged him with Operating Under the Influence, Restricted Turn Signals and Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License following a motor vehicle stop for failure to utilize a turn signal in the area of Railroad Ave at Prospect Street.

Greenwich Police investigation revealed that Cruz, was not able to perform standardized field sobriety tests and was operating under the influence of alcohol.

A search of Cruz’s car revealed multiple empty beer cans.

Cruz was issued a court date of Nov. 3, 2014. He posted a $300 bond and was released from police custody.
