Early Morning DUI for Stamford Woman Driving on North Street

On Thanksgiving morning, at approximately 5:00am, Greenwich Police traveling up North Street, observed a white Mercedes Benz traveling south at a high rate of speed, above the posted limit.

Police turned around and followed the Mercedes,  and reported that the tail lights were non-illumined.

During the course of the investigation, police detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming form the driver, identified by her US Passport as Maria Ulloa, 24, of 40 Mitchell Street in Stamford.

Ms. Ulloa was asked to submit to a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, to which she complied and subsequently failed. She was arrested and charged with DUI, and Fail to Have Tail Lamps.

Ulloa was able to post her set bond of $250 and was released from custody. She is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Dec. 10, 2015.
