DUI for Woman Found with Bottle of Vodka in Her Car Following Crash

After causing two-car crash on West Putnam Avenue, a woman who failed to grant right of way to another car, was found to have a half-full pint bottle of Smirnoff Vodka in her vehicle.

After causing the two-car crash on West Putnam Ave near Old Post Rd #2, the driver, identified as Nancy F Hogan-Pozvek, 56, of 31 Greenview Rd in New Milford, was charged with DUI and Failure to Grant Right of Way.

According to Greenwich Police, at about 6:00pm on Nov 22, their investigation of a two-car collision revealed that Ms. Hogan-Pozvek had exited the private driveway of 401 West Putnam Ave in an attempt to travel east, but failed to yield to westbound traffic, causing the collision.

Ms. Hogan-Pozvek denied having consumed alcohol. She agreed to submit to field sobriety tests but failed to perform them to standard. She was able to post her $250 bond and was released. She has a court date in Stamford Superior Court on Dec. 6, 2016.
