DUI for Man Who Drove up Greenwich Avenue

A man was arrested on July 2 around 9:30pm after driving the wrong way up Greenwich Avenue, where traffic is limited to traveling south.

When police responded to Greenwich Avenue they found Felix Antonio Calle, 38, of 27 Madison Avenue in Port Chester standing outside his vehicle. He told police that he had about three beers.

While speaking with Calle, officers noticed he had red, glassy eyes and the odor of alcoholic beverages.

Mr. Calle did not perform field sobriety tests to standard. Further investigation revealed he did not have a valid drivers license or valid insurance, and that the car was not registered.

Witnesses said Mr. Calle was the driver and sole occupant of the car , which had been seen traveling the wrong way on Greenwich Avenue and then parked perpendicular to the curb.

Mr. Calle was charged with Driving an Unregistered Motor Vehicle, DUI, Driving the Wrong Way on a One Way Street, Improper Parking Driving without a License, and No Insurance.

Mr. Calle could not post his court set bond of $500 at the time of his arrest. He was assigned a court date in Stamford Superior Court on July 17, 2017.
