On Sunday night around 10:15pm, Greenwich Police observed a vehicle driving on the wrong side of Davis Avenue.
The car, driven by Michael P Spizzirri, 61, of 280 Davis Ave in Greenwich, was headed north on Davis Ave in the southbound lane before quickly veering back over the double yellow line.
Police initiated a motor vehicle stop on Greenwich Avenue and detected the odor of alcoholic beverages. Mr. Spizzirri failed to perform field sobriety tests to standard. He was charged with DUI and Failure to Maintain Lane. He was assigned a court date in Stamford Superior Court on July 10, 2017. At the time of his arrest, he was unable to post his court set $250 bond and was held at Greenwich Police headquarters.
