DUI for Driver Improperly Using High Beams on Byram Rd

At about 2:00am on Saturday, Greenwich Police made a motor vehicle stop in the area of 255 Byram Road, for a car driving using its high beams improperly.

According to Police, based on his speech, demeanor, red and glassy eyes, and detection of the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath, the driver, Enrique Reyes, 34, of 84 Glen Ave in Port Chester, was believed to be intoxicated.

Mr. Reyes did not perform standardized field sobriety tests to standard. He was arrested for DWI and Improper Use of High Beams.

At Greenwich Police headquarters, Mr. Reyes refused to take the breath tests. He was unable to post his bond of $250 and was assigned a court date of Feb. 16 in Stamford Superior court.
