Cell Phone Violation Results in Narcotics Bust

A man stopped for using his cell phone while driving was arrested by Greenwich Police on Jan 10 following a traffic stop in central Greenwich.

The suspect,  Alvaro Julio Luzardo, 60, of 50 Mead Street in Stamford, was found to be in possession of suspected cocaine.

Police investigation revealed that he was delivering a quantity of cocaine to a resident of Greenwich.

Luzardo was charged with Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell, Misuse of Registration Plates, Improper Insurance, Unregistered Motor Vehicle and Using a Cell Phone While Driving.

He was released on a promise to appear in court on Jan 24, 2018.
