Byram Man Charged for Taking a Wallet from a Car and Using a Credit Card

Cesar Salazar-Duque, 29, of 263 Mill Street in Greenwich, was arrested on Dec 19, 2016 for an August 10 incident involving a stolen wallet.

Greenwich police were detailed to an office complex on Bridge Street in Central Greenwich on a report of a stolen wallet. the victim related that she had parked the vehicle and left the wallet on the passenger side floor.

When the victim returned to her vehicle, the wallet was missing. She called her credit card company, who said the card had been used for a recent charge.

Investigation resulted in identification of the suspect, Mr. Salazar-Duque, as having used the card card. He was taken into custody from the Westcheser Correction Facility in Valhalla, NY after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

He was charged with Larceny 6, Burglary 3, Credit Card Theft, Illegal Use of Credit Card, Identity Theft 3, and Forgery 3.

Salazar-Duque is being held on a $15,000 bond. He has a court date in Stamford Superior Court on January 3, 2017.
