Brooklyn Man Turns Himself in to Greenwich Police on Five Year Old Warrant

Mady Traord, 27, of 293 Conklin Street in Brooklyn, turned himself in at Greenwich Police Headquarters on Tuesday, Feb. 24.

Officers met with Mady Traore, who relayed that he was turning himself in on a warrant stemming from motor vehicles charges on Nov. 2, 2010, for which he failed to appear in court on Nov. 30, 2010.

According to Greenwich Police, Traore said he discovered that there was a warrant for his arrest on this date when he checked the suspension status of his drivers’ license online.

GPD Dispatch confirmed that Mady had an active arrest warrant for Failure to Appear. He was advised of the warrant, placed under arrest and read and explained his State Notice of Rights, which he signed. He was able to post his $1,500 bond set by Bridgeport Superior Court. He was assigned a court date of March 4, 2015.
