Greenwich Police responded to 403 Greenwich Avenue, Sundown Saloon, on Jan. 24 just after midnight on the report of a physical fight in progress.
Investigation on scene found that Matthew Vacca, 28, of 17 Ridge Street, Greenwich, instigated a verbal altercation with another male bar patron. According to Greenwich Police, while the establishment’s private bouncer was separating the two parties to prevent a fight, Vacca reached over the bouncer and grabbed the patron by the neck, igniting a large physical altercation that resulted in another male patron sustaining minor injuries.
Vacca was arrested by summons for one count of Breach of Peace 2nd Degree. He was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of Feb. 2, 2015 at Stamford Superior Court.
