Argument on Arther St Leads to Multiple Charges for Woman, 25

Veronica Lopez Sanchez, 25, was arrested following a fight on the west side of Greenwich on Tuesday, Dec. 9 around 9:00am. Multiple Greenwich Police units responded to an address on Arther Street on a report of an incident involving a knife.

According to Greenwich Police Lopez Sanchez confronted the victim about family issues, grabbing the victim and starting a physical fight, ultimately attempting to stab the victim in the neck with a kitchen knife.

Lopez Sanchez, of 227 Irving Ave., Apt 1 in Port Chester, was subsequently charged with Carrying a Dangerous Weapon, three counts of Risk of Injury to a Minor, Criminal Mischief, Disorderly Conduct, two counts of Assault in the 3rd degree, Threatening, and Reckless Endangerment after the fight in which police report that she

The risk of injury to a minor charges were added to reflect that three children were present and, according to police, “in the middle of the altercation.”

The Criminal Mischief charge is associated with necklace that was broken during the incident.

Lopez Sanchez posted $10,000 bond and was released. She was assigned a court date of Dec. 10 in Stamford Superior Court.
