Spring Delayed. Winter Storm Warming for Tuesday Night to Wednesday Morning

The National Weather Service has declared a winter storm watch for Greenwich for a significant snow storm to start Tuesday night last through Wednesday.

Specifically, they are forecasting a wintry mix before midnight on Tuesday, followed by a chance of snow and freezing rain between midnight and 1:00 am, then snow, freezing rain, and sleet likely after 1:00 am.

Wednesday they say to expect snow, freezing rain, and sleet likely before 7:0o am, then snow.

The snow could be heavy at times, with new snow and sleet accumulation of 5 to 9 inches possible.

On Wednesday, some thunder is also possible. High near 33°. Wind chill values between 15 and 20. Breezy, with a northeast wind 23 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no ice accumulation expected.
