Registration Dates Announced for Town Fall Baseball Clinics

The Department of Parks and Recreation announces that registration for the new Fall Baseball Clinics will begin on August 7th and remain open until filled. These fall baseball clinics are offered to boys ages 8 through 12. Experienced instruction is provided over an 8-week period, outdoors, from September through October.

Participants must have turned 8 and not have turned 13 by September 2, 2015. The clinics will be organized into two age groups: 8 and 9-year-old’s and 10-12 year-old’s. Instruction focuses on player pitching and catching, field positioning and strategy, fundamentals, batting, and game situations.

More advanced skill work is provided for the 10-12 year old’s, as well as preparation for those players looking to move up to travel ball, Jr. Babe Ruth, or other advanced leagues.

Registration forms are available in the Recreation office at Town Hall and online at www.greenwichct.org: Click on Parks and Recreation and then youth programs under Recreation.
