“It was such a fun experience that taught me a lot about fencing,” said GHS junior Lindsey Manos, a 3rd place medalist in the Women’s Épée event.

All the fencers agreed that the tournament was a great learning experience.

“It was a great chance for our younger fencers to get some playing time and experience, and we had some great success from three of our fencers who medaled,” said GHS Coach Donald Grunewald.

Three GHS novice fencers earned medals at the tournament.

Lindsey Manos, a junior, earned 3rd place in the Women’s Épée event.

Alex Araki, a GHS senior, earned 7th place in the Men’s Épée event.
