West Old Mill Road Bridge Rehab Means Detour Starts July 23

Screen Shot 2015-07-18 at 8.46.11 PMConstruction will start on the West Old Mill Road Bridge Rehabilitation project on July 23.

The bridge is located on Old Mill Road between North Porchuck Road and Round Hill Road. As part of the construction work, the road is scheduled to be closed at the bridge site from Thursday, July 23 through December 2015.

The project is scheduled to be completed by January 2016.

The project was designed by WMC Engineers of Newington, CT. The construction will be performed by NJR Construction LLC of Terryville, CT. The construction contract for the project is for $627,150.00.

The following detour will be established:

Traffic wanting to travel eastbound on West Old Mill Road shall utilize North Porchuck Road to Porchuck Road to Round Hill Road.

Traffic wanting to travel westbound on West Old Mill Road shall utilize Round Hill Road to Porchuck Road to North Porchuck Road.
