Owners of Derelict King Street House Seeks P&Z Okay for Retail Food and Office

Update: According to the P&Z action agenda, during their June 27 meeting, the Planning & Zoning Commission closed the application, but did not vote.

The owners of 1073 King Street, 1073 King Street, LLC, which is registered to Jonathan Smith of Rye Brook, NY and Anthony Loizzo of Greenwich, are set to go before the Planning & Zoning Commission on Tuesday, June 27 with an application for a final site plan to make an addition to the existing dwelling, driveways, drainage, parking and signage for a new retail food establishment and office on a property that is 28,648 sq ft in the RA-2 zone (2 acre zone).

The property features a single family house that was built in 1909.

The applicant also seeks an amendment to the building zone map from RA-2 to LBR-1 zone. (LBR stands for Local Business Retail).

The property is located between Connecticut Wine & Liquor  at 1071 King St and Shemin Nurseries at 1081 King Street.
