RHYS Commercial, a commercial real estate firm based in Stamford announced on August 7 that they were the sole brokers in leasing Saks the 13,500 square ft retail space at 20 East Elm St.
The move will help expand Saks presence in Greenwich. “Saks had very limited options to expand in their existing location on Greenwich Avenue without significantly disrupting their day to day business,” said Christian Bangert Senior VP and Principal, adding that the 20 East Elm St location will allow the store to construct a modern, first class retail installation for their new women’s shoe store location, while also giving them flexibility to then redesign their existing location when necessary.
Saks will occupy the entire ground floor of 20 East Elm Street. The space was previously home to Urban Outfitters, who vacated in the first quarter of 2015. The building has been owned by local Greenwich residents since early 2012.
