People in Greenwich Don’t Steal? Who Stole Piggy?

Femmegems, the hip and fun jewelry and accessories shop at 89 Greenwich Avenue is missing their beloved piggy. According to a sign in the window, for ten years their cast-iron pig has stood sentry outside the door from Nolita to Greenwich.

But, alas, the necklace-laden pig has vanished.

Greenwich is overall such a safe place. When shops close up for the night, storekeepers don’t pull metal security grills over the display windows. Planters and benches aren’t chained to buildings.
