Do you remember Fanny, a brown dachshund posted in last week’s Everything Dogs column ? GFP met her while trailing two  Greenwich moms for an article on volunteering in dog rescue.

Fanny is in Manchester, VT with her potential new adopting family, who seem to like her quite a bit.

This week, please consider Oscar who is available from OPIN.

Oscar, a hound mix, is a perfect blend – a bundle of energy outdoors and a couch potato inside!  This handsome pup was terrified found wandering the streets at 4-months old.  He is a shy boy but does not take long to warm up.  Oscar is now living in a foster home with two other dogs and cats.  A boy after our own hearts, Oscar has found the secret to life; he is a lover of nature and other animals.

Happiest when playing with his canine buddies, he would love a home with a resident dog to help him feel secure.  His home should be a low key, low activity one; with another dog to become his best friend and a fenced in yard.  He is a loyal and beautiful dog looking for a patient person to build his confidence. Oscar’s foster Mom enjoys watching him play with the resident dogs and cats!  He has become a cuddle bug, loves to romp and play outside and is calm and relaxed indoors.

Gin from OPIN. Found in an abandoned home and left alone when the pipes burst, Gin has turned out to be a bit of a character. He enjoys showing off commands he has learned such as sit, paw and down. He’s a 95 pound, 2-year old American Bulldog with soft brown eyes and a heart as big as his size.
