Dog Rescue Opportunity: Two Puppies Spared from Dogfighting

Screen Shot 2015-05-23 at 1.01.18 AMOur friend Tina has done it again. This time she pulled two dogs from a Long Island kill shelter. They are 6 month old pit-mix puppies, severely under weight and  bearing some scars. At least one of them may have been used briefly as a bait dog. But they made it out. Tina grabbed them  from the municipal shelter and brought them home, where they are eating well and showing remarkable signs of forgiveness.

The puppies are skittish for sure, but in Greenwich on Friday they were generous with kisses and affection. These puppies should weigh about 40 lbs but are closer to about 20 lbs each, and, while they are enjoying their food, they are not food aggressive.
