9th Annual Howl & Prowl Presented by Pet Pantry, Benefits Adopt-A-Dog, Sunday Oct 23

Pet Pantry Warehouse proudly hosts Howl and Prowl, an annual event created in 2008.

On Sunday October 23rd, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm in downtown Greenwich (290 Greenwich Ave, by the Havemeyer building), the family owned business, specializing in quality pet food and products, invites all to enjoy a free afternoon in support of Adopt-A- Dog.

Attendees can also support man’s best friend by registering to enter a costume contest for both pets and people, with prizes totaling $575 in Pet Pantry Warehouse gift certificates.

“It is hard to imagine that we are going into our 9th year for Howl and Prowl,” said Pet Pantry Vice President Joshua Roth. “What began as a simple idea has turned into a local institutional event that allows us a great chance to support an organization that we care deeply about.”

Pet Pantry created Howl and Prowl in 2008, and the event has become a staple town event ever since. As in years past, costume contests are planned for both people and especially their pets, with prizes being given in the form of Pet Pantry Warehouse gift certificates totaling $575. In addition, there will be FREE photos courtesy of noted international portrait photography outfit Venture Photography, FREE caricature drawings by artist Bill Hernandez, countless samples and giveaways by pet manufacturer sponsors, food trucks, activities for children, face painting and other fun endeavors. Themed music will be curated by in demand NYC artist DJ Cochon De Lait.

Howl and Prowl leading sponsor Blue Buffalo talk about why they support Pet Pantry events and pet rescue organizations. “At BLUE we know that adopted animals can make the best friends. With millions of homeless pets across the country we wanted to show our support to our furry friends in need. As we have in years past, we pounced at the chance to sponsor Howl and Prowl and support the fine work done by Adopt-A- Dog! Much Like Pet Pantry Warehouse we care for the health and well being of all pet family members.”

Brian Gordiski from Adopt-A- Dog praised the pet supply retailer and for its regular fundraising support. “Since Pet Pantry Warehouse developed Howl and Prowl in 2008, we have been humbled to be the exclusive beneficiary of this event.” Gordiski said Adopt A Dog counts on Pet Pantry’s support throughout the year. “We wouldn’t have the ability to care for the amount of rescues we take in throughout the year without them, and we are humbled to have been a part of their fundraising initiatives for many years.”
