YMCA’s Annual “Healthy Kids Day” is a Hit

The YMCA of Greenwich held their annual “Healthy Kids Day” this past Saturday. The community-wide event was full of fun activities to remind families about the importance of creating healthy habits both in and out of the home.

“Healthy Kids Day” is part of the Y’s commitment to keeping our community healthy through a combination of educational activities, exercise, and healthy eating habits. The Y implements this initiative in both childhood education and after school programs, which have set a precedent by exceeding national HEPA standards (Healthy Eating and Physical Activity).

“One of our primary goals is to help youth reach their full potential”, said David Cohen, Senior Director of Programs and Membership “To do that, we need to make sure our kids have all the tools they need to keep their minds and bodies healthy and active.”
