We All Scream for Ice Cream: River House Seniors Treated to Ice Cream Truck Visit

Screen Shot 2015-06-28 at 7.55.57 AMRiver House members kicked off the beginning of summer with a visit from Polar Pete’s Ice Cream Truck, sponsored by Greenwich Bank and Trust.

After they finished lunch last Monday, River House members were greeted with the arrival of the ice cream truck. “The ice cream truck visit was such a nice treat, because we don’t have that sort of thing every day. I love ice cream! My favorite flavor is chocolate with nuts, because I’m just nuts about nuts!” exclaimed Norma, a River House member of three years.

“We continue to sponsor this event because we see it as an opportunity to not only do some good in the community, but to also bring happiness to a few lives,” said David Moore, Vice President of Greenwich Bank and Trust. “The part I enjoy most is seeing how a simple ice cream treat can brighten someone’s day.”
