Jazz it Up Wednesday Night at Greenwich High School SummerFare

SummerFare

Thinking about your summer plans – or your children’s summer plans? Mark your calendars for SummerFare, Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. SummerFare at Greenwich High School is an annual event for exhibitors to present materials and talk with public and private elementary, middle and high school students and their parents about summer programs, internships, and camp opportunities.

The event is free and open to the public. The snow date is Thursday, January 28, 2016.

Even better, the GHS PTA is jazzing it up a bit this year with live music and bands to get everyone into the summer mood. If it’s a cold night in January, which it will undoubtedly be, you can expect to be warmed up and entertained as you contemplate your summer plans.

The PTA reports that they already have a large number of groups signed up to provide information on their camps, adventure opportunities, music, technology, sports, study, travel and enrichment opportunities.

With nearly 150 summer camps, programs and internships showcased, there will be representatives to help you find the right program, from day and sleep away camps to ventures abroad. There will also be an array of academic programs, sports, visual & performing arts, outdoor adventure, community service programs, computer and special education programs.

SummerFare is designed to give families a look ahead to summer and to beat the rush on camp sign-ups. This annual winter event is sponsored by the GHS PTA. The 2016 event will mark the 27th year of SummerFare.
