The Woman’s Club of Greenwich annual 2014 holiday boutique is set for Friday, Nov. 14, 10:00am-5:00-pm and Sat., Nov 15, 10:00am-4:00pm.
The club, located at 89 Maple Ave in a spacious Victorian mansion, has ample parking and will brim with room after room of unique gifts. There are also visits from Santa, raffle prizes and “Grandma’s Kitchen.”
Over the years the annual two-day shopping event has become a destination for people seeking handmade and one-of-a-kind gifts. All proceeds from the two day event benefit the Club’s philanthropies and scholarship fund.
This year Greenwich Free Press will feature each of the three dozen crafty vendors over the weeks leading up to the event.
Featured Vendor:
Laura Luther, owner of Olive My Skin, makes her entire line of soaps, lotions, lip balms sugar scrubs and wood wick soy candles in Southbury.
Luther explains, “The bodycare is made with fair trade & organic butters & oils, scented with only essential oils.” Also, the candles are 100% soy with wooden wicks that crackle when burning. They are soot & toxin free. All products are free from parabens & petroleum.
Luther began making handmade soap and body care products due to her own skin sensitivities and the inability to use commercially produced products.
